Nurse's Office Services
- Nursing Services include care of students with illnesses or injuries, medication administration and sports clearances.
- The Nurse's Office is open from 7:15 AM - 2:30 PM. Students need a signed passport to enter the Nurse's office and is located on the first floor of the A wing near the Main Office.
- All medical and dental notes should be brought to the Nurse's Office to be reviewed by the Nurse. If an absence is indicated, the Nurse will document it as "Medical." The notes are then filed in the student's health record.
- Parents/Guardians will be called if a student is too ill to remain in school. Students will only be dismissed to persons listed on their Emergency Contact List unless parent/guardian indicates so directly to the Nurse.
- If a student is diagnosed with a communicable disease, parents/guardians are asked to inform the Nurse's Office as soon as possible.

No medication can be administered at school, even over the counter medications like Tylenol, without the proper written medication authorization form completed by your child's heal care provider (see handbook).

At the beginning of each school year, you update the emergency contact information we have for your child through paperwork that we send you.
Please remember to inform the school if there are any changes during the year.

There are many respiratory illnesses circulating - the “common cold”, Influenza, COVID-19, and Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV). These illnesses have many overlapping symptoms – runny nose, cough, and fever. If your child exhibits any of these symptoms follow our Daily Health Assessment to determine if the student should come to school.
If your child tests positive for COVID-19, reach out to your healthcare provider for advice.
Consider getting Flu and COVID-19 vaccines, as these are considered the most effective ways to prevent serious illness from these respiratory diseases. Here is the link to the new respiratory disease guidance.
